Havredal's new plant-based burgers are now being launched by industry-leading wholesaler Martin & Servera. The launch will enable more hotels, restaurants and cafés to take advantage of the burger, which the Phil's chain was the first to bring to its restaurants around Sweden.
Havredals quickly established itself as a contender in plant-based dairy with a range of Swedish oat drinks. In May, the company took a big step forward and entered a new category with the launch of a plant-based premium burger and mouldable mince.
"We are continuing our efforts to offer tasty, healthy alternatives to dairy and meat. The launch at Martin & Servera is an important step in offering tasty plant-based foods to even more people and making it easier for the country's restaurants to put Havredals on the menu," says Katerina Cronstedt, CEO of Havredals.
The burger, which is produced in Sweden, is made with plant protein from farmers' beans, oats and other crops. The ingredients currently come from both Sweden and other countries in northern Europe, but the plan is to increase the proportion of raw materials from Sweden and the Nordic countries over time.
Havredals wants to fight the climate crisis by making the transition to a plant-based diet easier. For more people to try plant-based, the food needs to taste really good. By offering tasty alternatives to animal products, Havredals is working to combat climate change.
