Press Press releases
Havredals continues to expand its plant-based dairy and meat range with the launch of a plant-based chicken burger. The burger is based on yellow pea and broad bean and is 100% vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and high in protein. Exclusive Hotel At Six in Stockholm will be the first in Sweden to serve the plant-based chicken as part of its event menu.
Havredals quickly established itself as a contender in plant-based dairy with a range of Swedish oat drinks. In May 2022, the company took a big step forward and entered a new category with the launch of a plant-based premium burger and mouldable mince. Now they are launching another product in the plant-based meat category.
The new plant-based chicken burger will be launched first at HORECA and will be part of a wider launch towards DVH in 2023. The product is aimed at a conscious target group that loves chicken, but appreciates or wants to try out enjoying a tasty plant-based alternative. The chicken burger is designed to suit both the carnivore and the vegan with a focus on just being really tasty.
"We felt that the market was missing a really good plant-based chicken burger that doesn't compromise on taste or texture. That's why we are now so happy to present our new plant-based chicken burger. Through our unique production process, it has a rich flavor, juicy plant meat with a chicken-like structure and a crispy frying surface, of course produced in Sweden. We are very pleased with the result and that it has already been so well received, including by Hotel At Six, which has included it in its event menu," says Katerina Cronstedt, CEO of Havredals.
Diego, Head Chef at Hotel At Six tells us more about why they chose to put Havredal's burgers on the menu. I'm always looking for new innovations in vegan food! They have to be eco friendly, with few additives and above all the taste and texture has to be perfect! That's exactly why we chose Havredals. Havredals wants to make the transition to a plant-based diet easier. For more people to try plant-based, the food needs to taste really good. Havredals is working to combat climate change by offering tasty alternatives to animal products.
